Our Sneak Peek into LEGOLAND ATLANTA

We got the chance to visit LEGOLAND at Phipps Plaza in Atlanta for a preview. It took us about 45 minutes to get there. The kids were so excited to be going. They have been looking forward to this for weeks.

Once we parked and got in we were greeted by their friendly staff and huge tubs of LEGOs. These green tubs were outside of the store too.

You walk through the first set of doors and see (minus the little girl)

Lego boy & his bike.

And this
fun Lego guy.

I started looking around the room and there's so many cute little Legos.

And here's Bonnie ( I think thats what they said her name was) with the kids. Well actually the kids were with her, but whatever.

Next Doors- you get to see how Legos are made in the LEGO Factory.

See these small little yellow plastic beads?  They are mixed up then sent to...

 the next step-

Then,

Kids got a turn at moulding Legos.

 She inspects,

and this lady paints them all. (notice it's a LADY, not a MAN)

There's even a scale that weighs you based on Legos. I think Scott was like 73,000 legos. And you can also see how many Legos tall you are. I didn't see too many moms jumping up there to see how many thousands of legos they weighed.

Next Doors open and you come to MiniLand (my favorite),  where you feel like a GIANT.

How many Atlanta landmarks do you see?

They even had pizza, drinks, and cupcakes. We all loved these.

You can't just eat one, or two, or three....

Cute little Cafe

There is an area where you can build your own little or big racecar, and race against other people.
My kids favorite was this for sure.

They definetly should add another one of these, most popular hands down.

Here's Cain building a tall tower and then you turn the knob and it shakes to see if the tower you built can hold up.

It did.

Carly liked this little area, Lego Friends. She has a few sets of the Friends.
But I didn't see very many kids over in this section.

The Fire Academy area was also a favorite of the kids, it was pretty packed. Socks must be worn so make sure when you go take socks. Or you will have to purchase them there. I saw a few kids running out of this area and slip, hopefully they will have a mat to prevent falls, or slip proof socks.

There's even a 4-D Lego Clutch Powers Movie.
Tip: Take your raincoat, and wear it.

You get soaked.
I think they should turn down the pressure on this.

Last thing we did before leaving, Merlin's Apprentice Ride. You have to pedal, pedal, pedal.
I rode with Camlin and he wasn't fond of going high, so no pedaling for us.
I liked this ride because the seats could adjust so the child can reach the pedals.

Even the bathrooms were fun. Bright & colorful. Only drawback here was the sinks were very high and faucets were too far back for some children to reach. My 5 year old could not. A couple of smaller sinks would have been great in here.

Well thats it. The kids did not want to leave. And are still asking when we are going back.

We are going to surprise them with Annual Passes. :)

  5. Okay, I LOVE your blog! (am your newest follower) Just stumbled upon it (through your husband's)...always makes me happy to find someone who is as passionate about nursing and baby wearing as I am. My kiddos are 3.5 and 15 months and I still regularly cart my 3.5 yo around Seattle in the Ergo. We're a Lego crazed house as well and cannot wait to someday make the trek to LegoLand (probably in San Diego). Your post makes me a little envious. (btw, I'm a mini-Boden lover too!)
